In this workshop participants will be presented with the Canadian Reality of MAiD and consideration of how members of CACFT will be impacted by MAiD for those with mental health challenges. Discussion will include consideration of how to navigate conversations of understanding and support for individuals and families impacted by MAiD.
Presenter Bio:
Dr. Gloria Woodland is the Director of Chaplaincy Education for ACTS Seminaries of Trinity Western University in Langley BC. Gloria also is the Director of The Centre for Education and Advancement of Spiritual Care. She is an Associate Professor of Chaplaincy Studies and Spiritual Care for MB Seminary. Gloria holds a Doctor of Ministry degree with a specialization in Pastoral Counselling from Providence Theological Seminary. In addition to her teaching, Gloria is privileged to be a speaker for national and international conferences and to consult on the inclusion of spiritual care in not-for-profit organizations.
