I have provided psychotherapy since 1999, working in the areas of couple & family counselling, youth (16+), trauma, mental health and addiction. As an experienced couple and family therapist who is also trained in trauma treatment, I can help you understand how the past has shaped the present, helping you to resolve those hurts. And I can help you find new and more satisfying ways to be in your relationships now. I use Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), primarily, as it is a unique therapy that targets difficult memories and changes the way they are held in the brain/body, such that the brain/body knows those events are over, and its safe to move forward with life. I have trained and supervised novice counsellors, social workers, and psychotherapists in a variety treatment of settings for over almost two decades, and been an approved supervisor (AAMFT/CACFT) for over ten years.
