Bio

Spurgeon has worked since the min 1990's in inner-city Regina, SK except for a three year hiatus as a school counselor in rural SK, primarily with the Indigenous population. He has worked as a youth pastor, prison chaplain, community developer, gang outreach worker, and a case manager for people leaving prison. Spurgeon has also dabbled in Wilderness Therapy and enjoys whitewater canoeing, climbing, cycling and winter camping. He is currently working on his PhD dissertation on culturally appropriate informed consent.
