The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) is undertaking a study to better understand the needs, and expectations of psychotherapy practitioners as the profession moves toward regulation under the Health Professions and Occupations Act.
The study is being conducted by Pivotal Research Inc., an independent Canadian research firm, on behalf of CHCPBC.
CHCPBC wants to hear from you
CHCPBC is inviting association members to share their perspectives on psychotherapy practice and the transition to regulation. Your input will help the College understand how practitioners can be supported throughout the transition.
Who can participate?
The survey is open to practitioners providing clinical counselling/psychotherapy services in BC, those working in the field in BC as educators, clinical supervisors, or trainers, and students or trainees in clinical counselling/therapy who are studying in BC or intend to practice in BC.

The survey takes approximately 12 to 15 minutes to complete and is open from September 21 to October 18, 2026.

Your participation matters
This is an opportunity for practitioners across BC to shape how the profession will be supported throughout the transition. We are seeking participation across a broad range of practice settings, professional backgrounds, career stages, and experiences.
Participation is voluntary. Your responses are anonymous and will be collected by Pivotal Research and reported only in aggregate, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
