As BDSM awareness and participation increase its presence in mainstream society, clinicians must be able to meet their clients with acceptance, respect and competence. This workshop aims to provide a basic introduction to working with clients who fantasize about, engage with or identify as BDSM participants.

BDSM is an overlapping abbreviation of bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism.

Heather Craig's Bio

Heather is a sexuality professional, relational therapist and opinionated human. In addition to academic backgrounds in Social Justice Education, Sexual Diversity Studies and Systemic Psychotherapy, Heather roots her knowledge in years of fieldwork, having spent over a decade engaging in education and organizing within sexuality-focused communities.  Their work is practically focused, aiming to honour the complexity of the world around them.
