This innovative webinar will present how the Emergency Response Team was created, what a therapist experiences when working with clients in crisis and a focus on teaching how to apply Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with clients in crisis. In response to the pandemic and many other stress inducing events that were occurring throughout Canada in the summer of 2020, the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) responded by gathering a team of therapists  with various talents and areas of specialization to create the first CAMFT Emergency Response Team (ERT). The ERT developed an online system to assist the overwhelming number of struggling Canadian front line workers and their families in crisis. The ERT's mission is to provide free Brief Couples & Family Therapy to couples and families during times of national, local or family crises
