Study on Therapists’ Emotional Experience
Researchers from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) are conducting a study about psychotherapists’ emotional experience and empathy. We are currently recruiting participants whose primary work duty involves the practice of counseling and psychotherapy.
This study has been approved by the CUHK institutional review board. The questionnaire would take 20-30 minutes to complete. After completing the survey, we will ask you for an email address where we can send you a US$10 Amazon gift card as our appreciation of your time.
The knowledge gained would hopefully help us better understand psychotherapists’ emotional world and design better training to help future psychotherapists function optimally in sessions. After all, psychotherapy is an emotional endeavor; greater insight into therapist emotion will enhance care for clients as well as therapist self-care.
