Advocacy Initiative

The CAMFT is proud to announce an advocacy initiative that will provide funds for Canadian projects that promote the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy. In the spring of 2015 the AAMFT approved a matching grant program and has pledged to match on a 3:1 basis, funds donated by Canadian members to the CAMFT to promote regulation of the MFT profession in Canadian provinces. This means that for every dollar donated by CAMFT members, the AAMFT will provide an additional three dollars to support Canadian advocacy projects!

The CAMFT has formed a committee of past Canadian Division leaders who do not serve on the CAMFT Board to review and recommend advocacy project proposals to be recipients of the funds raised by this project.
give-and-take-556151__180Now, more than ever, the profession in Canada needs your support and commitment. We ask that you consider donating the equivalent of the cost of an hour of therapy. A donation of $100 by you becomes $400 through the additional funds provided by the matching grant! Please donate today to advocate for Marriage and Family Therapy in Canada. Click on the PayPal link below to donate now (you do not need a PayPal account) or  you may mail a cheque payable to “CAMFT” to CAMFT, Post Office Box 693, Tottenham, Ontario, L0G 1W0.
